Named for the former President of Brevard Community College, the Maxwell King Center in Melbourne FL is the premiere performing arts center in Brevard county. Completed in 1988, and originally named the Brevard Performing Arts Center, it is owned by a subsidiary of Brevard Community College and is designated a state cultural institution. It is located on the Melbourne campus of BCC which is located at the corner of Wickham and Post Roads at 3865 N. Wickham Road.
The King Center Melbourne FL is a mutli-use facility that attracts a variety of top entertainment venues throughout the season from country and popular music artists to contemporary and classical dance troupes, touring Broadway shows, orchestras and much more.
