What many don’t know is the wide range of recreational activities that are available at one of the county’s largest parks. Besides it being listed in the State of Florida Great Florida Birding Trail for birding enthusiasts, there are tons of things to do at this large regional locale:

The wide range of activities that are available to the public in just this one area are amazing. But the fun does not stop there. Wickham Park has a fully equipped 88 site campground tucked away in the shady pine forest. Each campsite is equipped with water and electric and the camping facilities also include laundry, bathrooms, showers, sites for group camping and a large fire pit.
In 2009 the County added a brand new Senior Center on the park property. For people over 50 years old there is a small membership fee making it affordable for everyone. The center offers daily activities like: board games, exercise and fitness, dance, arts and crafts, computers, and many more. There really is something for every interest under the sun at the Wickham Park Senior Center. There is a small additional fee for some of the classes.
If you have never been to Wickham Park in Melbourne FL make it a point to check it out one day soon…this is one of the best kept secrets in Brevard County.
